yes, so, if anyone can help me figure this out..i'll probably start dancing my head off out of happiness. moving on :] i've decided that i want to start updating my site again and of course, when i log into my FTP account, IT WON'T CONNECT
 i'm currently using SmartFTP and the connection progress always says 'waiting'. i've checked the site already to see if they have any solutions to the problem, but there aren't any listed. i probably described my problem in the worst way possible [i'm pretty bad at typing things out  ] but if you can somehow manage to help me that'd be just lovely :]

^ You may have encountered a big in their latest version, go back to their site and find a patch for it. I've had it happen to me too (from what you're describing) and it was fixed after I did the above.
