I went to some Houston museums yesterday! They were so amazing! It was a "field trip" for the workers at my college a few professors but mostly college cordinators. We went to a Health museum, which was basically for little kids but I still got to see a real human brain! Plus the gift store was packed with really cool (and gross) stuff. My favourite museum was the Fine Arts museum. It was three stories and I didn't get to see HALF of it in two hours!!! I took an audio tour of the paintings! I could stand up close to them and see the individual brush strokes! It was so breathtaking, nothing like seeing an image on the computer or a print. I love how quiet the museums are, like libraries. I think museums and libraries are more like churches to me than a cathedral will ever be.
When was the last time you went to a museum? (P.S. I touched all the statues even though there was a sign that said "PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH". ![]() |

It's been a while since I've last visited a museum. Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Hayden Planetarium are all museums I've visited in New York City. I want to visit them all again. Museums are fascinating and you learn so much if you take the time to read the placards than just stare at the exhibits. It can be overwhleming but it's fun. Even more fun if you go in a group. :)
