This sounds so dumb but seriously, where do i install them? where do i put the code and stuff...

Most of the coding will go in the Header (which you can find by clicking the Look and Feel link on your Xanga when you're viewing private), but some designers have extra stuff to put in the Website Stats or Java boxes on the same page.
