Catch the reference.
In any case, what have others' first impressions of you been? Were they right or wrong? Do you know how they came to that conclusion? I've been told that people have found me to be mean as shit. On the other end of the spectrum, I've also been thought to be the sweetest person some people know. I can see where they're coming from on both counts, but as of late, I'm a lot more patient and understanding. |

Rebecca that's a really good way of thinking about it
![]() I've been told quiet, reserved, dumb and snobby. I like to think they're pretty far off. The quiet I can understand in certain enviorments (I'm painfully shy) but I'm lound around my friends. The snobby I have no idea. Maybe quiet comes of as snobby? Who knows. Good topic Anna! |

Yeah, people tend to think that the reason some people are quiet is because they're stuck up and think they're too good to bother talking to you or something. I can understand that, but more often than not it's because they honestly feel shy and don't know what to say. That's the case with me sometimes (I used to be a lot more quiet and now I'm louder, but there are some days when I just don't talk much). I think people's first impressions of me are something along the lines of nice and quiet. Later on, if they get to know me better or see me around my friends, they realize I'm not all that quiet. As for being mean, everyone's mean sometimes. You wouldn't be mean to someone you're meeting for the first time since that'd create a bad impression. As for whether people are right or wrong about me, it depends on the circumstances they meet me in and what kind of mood I'm in. If they've asked other people about me before just talking to me first, they're probably going to have some bias and I'm going to try to get rid of their impressions about me. If I can't, well, at least I tried. |
