It burns.
I'm taking a spin class, probably one of the hardest exercise classes i've ever taken. God knows why I'm at the gym on a monday night. That's so depressing. My legs are killing me. . . "C'mon give me half a turn! Get your cadence up to 110 and stay there!" the trainer barks. I'm trying to ignore 2 things. (1) The burning ache in my thighs and (2) The noises coming from the guy next to me. In his late 50's probably, huffing and puffing, and screaming, "ohhhh yeahhhh! oh yes! feel it baby". "Okay,"I tell myself, "just get past the old man making sexual noises, and you will be fine." Complete torture. Queen is blaring from the portable stereo, which wasn't so bad, but then. . . "Okay! Give me another full turn. Raise up, Keep your speed up, We're here for about 4 minutes." 4 minutes??!!! oh god, i was about to die NOW. 4 minutes was a lifetime away, I was pretty certain my butt was going to fall off, and I could not take another second of that guy making love to his bike. The clock was going...by...so....slowly. . . almost as slowly as listening to my Art History lectures. Though my teacher did say something amusing once. Something about "class is cancelled this thursday." yeah, i remember that one, that day was a good day. When you want things to end, like that boring test or a hard exercise class, the clock always seems to stop. Seems to crawl by. Though do you notice, when those wonderful things in life happen, such as going on a date with someone you've been crushing on for a long time, or spending a few hours with friends, eating a piece of cake[chocolate cake] It all seems to zoom by. |

Oh dear. That sounds like...it hurts. A lot.
Why'd you choose a spin class in the first place? *shivers* |

Oh dear. That sounds like...it hurts. A lot. Why'd you choose a spin class in the first place? *shivers* lol, i wanted to liven up my exercise routine and try something different. I heard Spin classes were really tough, and I wanted the challenge. I just, yeah, they are hard. And I don't think I realized how hard they could be lol. But Kaycee, I don't want to quit. afterwards you feel all amazing and pumped up, and you do see results pretty quickly and you burn off a helluva number of calories. But yeah, next time, i'm not sitting on the bike next to that guy. Carrie - yeah it's basically riding a stationary bike. Which i thought would be easy. but you turn on knob to add resistance, and it can get really tough, it matters if you have a good instructor or not. |
