Changing Commnt Table Background, Can't control the format ofcomments table! Options

I have tried so many things and I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to change the comments background format.

But, I've seen others do it, so I must be losing my mind.

Please have a look at MySpace and have a look at the comments table.

I want to black it out but I cannot find the CSS selector anywhere and I when I do change it, the entire page changes too.

I have guessed that the CSS which controls the comments table background is "table table table td" but this seems to change everything with it.

While I kinda have your attention, can I ask two more questions please?

1. If you have a look at MySpace, you will notice your code has worked. Basically, what part of my CSS do I need to edit to control the format of the comments table and more specifically, how do I left align everything in my comments table.

2. How do I insert my default pic ture block on to the page? If you know what I mean..?
