So like, I guess I'm pretty damn ignorant 'cause I don't understand how he's so dangerous that people are getting scared of a new World War.

The rise of communism dictators and countries was one of the causes of WWII (not to mention the brutality and genocide from Hitler).

I doubt Lenin nor Stalin had any immediate interest in conquering Europe, as opposed to the Germans wanting to recover what they lost after WWI. 98% of communist dictators appeared after WWII ended, during the Cold War period.
