Ever missed a chance to do something (eg. kiss, hug, etc) but didn't because you didn't have the balls or something interupted?

yeah i was about to ask this guy to sadies, when suddenly his ex comes up while I'm there and goes: John wanna go with me to Sadies. and he says "yes no else has asked me". i wanted to just run and cry.
