I've heard really terrible stories abou uber-competive-ness at school; like dog-eat-dog in the classroom in high school.
Nobody at my school is like, extremely cut-throat, but there are kids who will do anything to one-up that one certain person who always seems to "beat them" without trying. |

We don't have people like that here... at all. We have high drop out rate. Lots of drugs and sex at my school. The people who are cut throat are more cut throat about drugs than grades. I know it sounds pathetic, but it's true.
There was always this girl in my elemtary school that ALWAYS had to be the first done and right. She'd correct her own paper just so she could fill in the right answers
