actually, you should stay away from any loose powders, and put on minimal eye makeup, because it could cause even more irritation and make your eyes look worse. Actually there's no irritation involved with puffy eyes after crying. Don't use loose powder if you have puffy eyes from allergies, but the puffiness comes from blood flow and from the facial muscular effort that crying generates, and water retention around the eyes. Don't put the ice or cold spoons directly on your face though, it's usually better to put a layer of ziplock bag or saran wrap inbetween. Or if you want, wrap a couple ice cubes in a face towel and put on your eyes. |
