help with 2 layouts Options

I have two layouts, which one is better of the two and what improvements can i make to make either one of these better. I feel like I could do more, I'm not getting good ratings on the first site, I havent posted the second (on yoursite.com) so please lemme know what you think! I value you guys judgement!

First Layout

Layout 1:
- It would look good positioned in the center. Right now it positioned at the far left and since the layout is huge it causes a scrollbar.
- The headers for the blog, maybe you can do them like hte navigation headers (just a border-bottom).
- The text on the header is ok, yet out of place. Black and white doesn't match the colors of the header. I would also suggest changing the background pattern color to one that matches the layout in some way.
- I think it would also look pretty cool if you take off the border around the entire navigation.
Otherwise I think its ok. :]


Layout 2:
- I adore the header. Maybe move the layout more to the center?
- The white part, maybe make it only for the insdie with the text , then leave the background pink. That would be awesome.
- Lastly for the headers, you should do them all the same. The navigation ones, half are black half are pink. (I like the pink).
