So, you've been crying last night &you woke up with swollen eyes... What type of makeup would you put on to hide it? So I know this is probably not the first idea that comes to mind when you're crying and whatnot, but try not to rub your eyes a lot while trying to wipe away your tears. Use tissues in a dabbing motion, if possible. But this is the reason why my eyes get puffy. Also, wash your face with cold water (it'll make you feel better) that night, and try to put ice cubes over your eyes that night if you can too. This way, you won't wake up and be like "oh sh!t". Doing these things the night before minimize the effects of the swelling when you wake up in the morning. As for makeup, I'd even out my skin tone (your eyes are probably blotchy) with some concealer and use a minimal amount of makeup on my eyes (probably just mascara). I'd draw the attention away from my eyes by blending in a healthy shade of blush and a swab of lip gloss/stick (that is a more intense shade than you'll normally wear). I guess if your eyes are really that bad, you can lightly blend in some white eyeshadow to reduce the redness. ![]() |
