so, me and my boyfriend broke up tonight. he was my first bf, but we only went out for 5 weeks. i certainly wasn't in love with him, and i don't feel at all sad. i knew it was coming. in the car on the way home he just blurts out, "i think we should just be friends" and i said, "yeah, i've been thinking the same thing" - which is true. he said he wants to still be friends and hang out though. but we'll see.
just wondering - how was YOUR first breakup? not bad at all, or horrible? are you two still friends? |

Yes, well, if the breakup is mutual like yours was, then it really doesn't hurt that badly. And 5 weeks isn't a long time, It really hurts when you've been with that person for a long time.
I believe my first break-up was a lot like yours. Mutal, and for the most part, pain-free. We dated for 6 months I believe, but never really got too close. I mean, I was really young, and it was my first relationship, one of those middle school ones. So it didn't mean much. |
