How do you earn trust back in a serious relationship? After lying?

Alright, well your partner may or may not be able to recover depending on the severity of the lie you have told.
This is all I know for sure... trust takes time time. I think about it like this: It's almost like a little status bar, and when you're there for that person little + signs make that status bar go up, but when you f**k up or make mistakes little - signs make that bar go down real fast. Everyone is effected by things differently, and doing one thing will have more of an effect on one person than it will on another (example: lying to one individual might be forgivable, but lying to another individual could end the relationship). Alright kinda like this: You hang out, and have a great time = Trust: +1 You keep a secret for your partner = Trust: +1 You comfort your partner when they are sad = Trust +1 You cheat on your partner = Trust: -100 *gameover* |
