I believe that in time, history will eventually repeat itself. I mean, no matter how much you try to avoid having what happened in the past occur...it is yet to happen either way. Do you think it is possible to prevent history from repeating?
Please discuss. |

History may does not repeat itself in the sense of an exact replication of events; if people are too stupid too learn from past mistakes then we deserve to have wars waged. However, time being infinite and choice being limited to the options which are not indefinite, inevitably, certain situations will arise which bear similiarity to past occurences. It simply isn't something we can escape - either Aristotle or Plato said that there were only four original ideas in the world and everything after that is simply a reinterpretation. So I guess the same is true for history; events are reinterpreted.
