Whenever I'm in the middle of a really good silence, I always want to burst out laughing.
For example, if there's ever a time in class when everyone's just reading or being quiet, I can just feel the silence everywhereeeee, and I almost want to shout or sing or laugh. Some people I know cannot stand silence at all, hence they try to fill silences with mindless chatter... And some people can simply enjoy silence! Any thoughts on the matter? |

Mia: Don't you hate that?
Vincent: What? Mia: Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable? Vincent: I don't know. That's a good question. Mia: That's when you know you've found somebody special. When you can just shut the f**k up for a minute and comfortably enjoy the silence. -Pulp Fiction ( 1994 ) |
