Whenever I'm in the middle of a really good silence, I always want to burst out laughing.
For example, if there's ever a time in class when everyone's just reading or being quiet, I can just feel the silence everywhereeeee, and I almost want to shout or sing or laugh. Some people I know cannot stand silence at all, hence they try to fill silences with mindless chatter... And some people can simply enjoy silence! Any thoughts on the matter? |

I enjoy the silence. Ooooh, must listen to Depeche Mode.
No, but I really do enjoy them most of the time. If I'm on the phone with only one person and the responsibility of saying something is equally divided, then, I either start humming, say an inside-joke or something to catch the other's attention. It usually works but sometimes I just say what's on my mind and that turns into mindless chatter that makes people go "wtf?". I don't mind. |
