I would NEVER have been able to do this without createblog ...that's where I got all my information from.

Ah, that's pretty neat, pretty original and, well, kinda pretty. The graphics, colourful aside, appear a little low quality around the edges; slightly dodgy on the extraction I think. The lips don't look too cut off because of the black background - you can't really see it that well. You can feather it after you've selected it, which will fade it out and so it won't look so abrupt if you did want to change it. There is an alignment issue in FF with your 'author' drop down menu - I see two sets of 'author' drop down boxes. Otherwise, great job for a first attempt.
