Clubs Options

I think that there should be a category called "Clubs" in the Interests section. I think it would be easier to find club topics, and for all the clubs to be ordered in a section instead of scattered all around the forums. It's fine the way it is, but I think it would be more easier and organized to make a section for clubs.

Any thoughts about it?

I'm not going to mince words here.

Please, refrain from blaming James exlusively for the decision to move a topic to the Sandbox.

If you want to blame anyone, blame me. It was my suggestion to actually move all the clubs to the Sandbox because, ultimately, they are chit chat threads.

Actually, I wanted a Club Subforum with post counts disabled.

This came up when I was taking (A LOT) of time to read through Club threads and found that although some had substance, most had nearly 10-15% (rough, rough estimate) good posts and the rest were either self congratulatory posts, salutations ("hi!" type of posts) and good old fashioned AIM-type banter. I am not referring to one Club either, I am referring to many.

I'm just saying, before you pass judgement on one moderator, ask how that decision was made. James doesn't have a personal grudge against anyone. He has been completely professional and objective on Staff, besides his personal feelings. There's a difference.

I have PM'd both Josh and Diana regarding the potential spam in the unholy club. I particularly asked Josh if he could try to keep it in check. Josh, I apologize, but:

He's so amazing... I personally see him as a legend. We should thank him for being alive by having a club holiday dedicated to him.

You didn't exactly seem to be trying to even set a good example. The only one who has been trying and making a real constant effort is Diana, particularly after we PM'd eachother (which she did with much grace, although does have a penchant for one-liners at times ;-)).

After reading through the last few pages of that club, I am 100% behind James' decision to move the club to The Sandbox.

And you know I have no personal bias against any of you. At least, I hope you guys know that.
