Staring at your picture I'm closing my eyes
keeping them shut until I can cry
it rained everyday, it stormed every night
darkness filled my heart, there was no light

but still I loved you and stayed by your side
even though it hurt me and everything died

do you remember the last time we talked
it was the night before on our long walk
The moon shined down reflecting over the lake
holding you in my arms for my hearts sake

I looked into your eyes and kissed you on the lips
the night was so special like a solar eclipse
looking at you smile is what I cherished the most
just knowing that i made you happy and kept me close

I'll open my eyes every morning, knowing your gone
staring at the same picture, as I still hold on

Looking over the horizon as the sun sets
every last word you said, I couldnt forget
You told me to be strong even if I cry
That you will always be with me even if you die

I took one last look and one last kiss
closed my eyes knowing that your missed

Yes Thank you When I write my strong points I find is in my rhyming. Though I try to write free verse i can never explain how I feel if the lines are not rhymed. But yet I still practice free versing every now and then to get better at it.
