I'm studying for my midterms and I have to say that I hate the math system in NY. Math A, Math A/B and Math B are really tightly packed( you have to learn things fast) and next year they're going to change the system again because so many people were failing the course's regents and etc.
For those of you who don't know about Math A and etc. Math system in NY Does anybody else have to take Math A and etc? And what do you think about the system? |

Well, I'm supposed to be the last class ('10) to take Math A and B. My school (don't know about others..) is reverting back to Integrated Math next year, when the new freshmen come in.
It's pretty easy, actually.. I just finished Math A 3 on Monday and I'm taking the regents tomorrow. ![]() It's just that they're too demanding and they need you to show ALL your work. Labeling graphs, writing out the equation, Let statements, etc. If you don't show all your work for parts II, III, and IV, they give you only one point for each question. I don't think it's fair. ![]() I like the math system. Maybe it's just your teacher that teaches too fast.. All the past teachers I've ever had for Math A were really good. Don't know about Math B though, I'm starting that in February. ![]() |
