Stupid Crush, ...why do I have it?? Options

Okay....this is really dumb of me and I dunno why I have this crush on this person at all. Alrightie, I'm a freshman in highschool and I joined swim team. I've been swimming for about five years straight and there's this guy who's been swimming on the same team(s) as me for years. I've been noticing that lately I've been kind of....nervous whenever I talk to him or jumpy around him. He's a senior this year and it sucks that I have this crush on him b/c:
a. He probably doesn't even look at the lower classmen
b. This crush suddenly came out of no where and I can't stop...like....well I can control my thoughts but still, its lingers in my mind! But I've had about two dreams about him! (Which sounds VERY strange, I know, even I got scared myself!)
c. I'm probably not even attractive to him anyways because I'm not even pretty and there's a lot of prettier girls that are senior and he's leaving to college where he'll find even more attractive girls.
I dunno why I suddenly realized that I like this guy...maybe its becuz I've seen how nice he can be. I don't mean to say he's a complete angel but he kind of acts like my older brother (when he was nice and normal) and this guy, that I have a crush on, IS the oldest sibling in his family.
For instance, there was a time I was REALLY upset during swim practice and I fell far behind in my lane (mind you, I'm in the same lane as this guy) and he noticed I was all the way in the back. He called me over to come to the front of the lane (b/c I'm usually the swimmers that go first) and then he noticed I was crying a lil and constantly kept asking if I was alright, asking if I wanted to get out of the pool to rest and patted my back a lot.
Maybe this one times isn't good enough proof...and maybe I'm just being sooo stupid! xP
I seriously, would like to know what is this feeling? Is it really just a crush...?
Anyway, sorry this is REALLLY long...and I must being killingyour eye sockets now! O.O;;

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. DOn't put a note in his locker. DOn't do that. They do that in movies. YOu have to tell him in person. If you put a note in his locker, he will look at you as a freshman. Some one that is immature and not worth his time. So, don't put a note in his locker. If you already did...good luck. Hahaha. I'm just saying that if you want to look more appealing to a senior then try acting like one and stop going around and acting like a seventh grader. I'm not trying to be mean, if it sounded like it, then it's just the words. I really do hope you get over this, one way or another.

Also, for me, it's very easy to get a crush on some one. Ask Josh. Hahah. I've went out with some one who I only had a crush on. Maybe even three girls. Who's to tell? haha. Anyway, the thing is, do you really think it would be worth it to waste your time by going out with some one you barely know? Make sure you get to know him. Don't be friends with him. I really don't know if that works oppositely, but when your a guy, if you like a girl, it's the worst thing to become friends with girls. Cause that's exactly where you'll stay....most of the time.

Don't put him up on a pedistal. You don't know him that well. it's not like he's one of your good friends.
