Sounds weird, but it's not. Or maybe it is. My therapist got me into doing it, and it's one of the ways I face what's wrong with myself. I title it to myself, and write as if Im speaking/writing to another person. I tell them ( who is actually me ) how to face their problems.
Ive wrote them to myself when I was struggling with bulimia, when I felt alone or when I had no one else to talk to ( which actually happens a lot. A message to anyone consists of a lot of posts to myself ) and after bad things happen. Today, i was talking about how I'm a hypocrite when it comes to fear of rejection and such. How I tell people to swallow their pride and fear and just pursue what they want, letting go of your inhibitions and to stop being afraid of what they want the most. Particularly, in boys and love ( or girls ). But I don't follow what I preach, and how I shy away from making the first move or anything of that sort because Im afraid of rejection even though I know that rejection doesn't last forever and the burning embarassment goes away. Anyways, does anyone else do this ? It helps me, so I'm going to assume it might help some of you. The one I wrote today made me really depressed though. Sometimes it doesn't help, sometimes it does (: |
