I dont know if this goes in Lounge or Debate because i really didnt want to debate on it. I just wanted to see peoples opinions. If it needs to be moved then someone move it please.
Anyways, I was sitting in my first period at school and theres this girl who is 16 in my class and she is married. I think the husband is somewhere between 18-21. Shes really happy with it and its not like her husband is a bad guy. I just wanted to know what you think about it. |

I don't know. I have a friend who got married to her boyfriend I believe when she was still in high school. (She's in first-year college right now.) She's actually taking her marriage and married life seriously and I really admire her attitude and persistence. She's had a lot of family issues arise because of this marriage but she says she's really happy. But I don't think most of today's teenagers are ready for marriage. It's all about the sex, you know.
 How many teenagers do you know can hold on to their words, especially when marriage (and possibly kids) is added to their lives?College perhaps (and even that can be considered a stretch by some), but not high school. And I don't think there's going to be someone in this world who is the one for you; almost anyone can be the one if you both really work on the relationship. Though that may lead to many sacrifices that many would not be willing to give up.. but I digress. |
