My friend did a very, very long essay recently on the correlation between one's height and one's success in the world of employment. Studies have shown that generally, the taller you are, the better your chances are of getting hired or moving up.
So you know how employers are supposed to hire you wihout considering race, ethnicity, disabilities, etc.? Well, do you think that despite that, there's stilll some bias leaning toward how attractive you are? To be completely honest, I believe that generally, life is easier when your attractive. It doesn't guarentee you success at all, just as the opposite doesn't mean failure, but I know some very, very popular stores who will only hire people who "fit their image." ![]() ![]() |

I've always believed that people were hired for more successful jobs and had room for opening to better positions if they were better looking. Its just how the world is today.
QUOTE That is totally wrong! I'm probably one of the shortest people alive for my age. Just 'cause they're tall doesn't mean they're pretty..if that's what you were saying? Don't worry, my friend shouldn't be growing anymore and shes 4 -11.. If your shorter than that, then I suppose you can say what you said ![]() |
