i already have a 1024x768, but i want it to be compatible with widescreen laptop (1280x800).
how do i go about doing that? |

So you'll just have a solid color (or whatever else you want) as the background... You don't have to crp anything.
Or just use a widescreen-sized wallpaper.  I'm sure deviantART has many.
