well i started off likeing this guy a little while ago, and when I'm around him alot my feelings get even stronger, but then if there's like a break where I don't really talk to him for a few days I don't really have that strong of feelings. So am I just infatuated then?

These words ring so true to me. I'm exactly the same way. It's actually refreshing to know that there is some one that is like me.

You gotta realize that feelings is not the whole spectrum of love, if indeed you do love this person. Depending on the time you've known him for is where it all depends. Yes, you can love some one in a short period of time, but its rare to find that.

It seems that you only like this dude, considering that's what you stated.

First way to look at it is that you only have a crush on him. So, therefore your feelings would tend to dwindle due to your lack of connection with him.

Second way to look at it is that you do genuinely like him and that you are attracted to him. You know it only takes 1/10th of a second for some one to know that they are attracted to him. That should have probably been said for the 'crush' outlook. But liking a person is definitely different from a crush. And love is different from liking some one.

The third way to look at it is that you love him. If you love him then all feelings aside you want to be with him. You know that things get tough and feelings tend to fade. You know that you trust him and that in the big picture things will get better and that you are willing to go through this.

My friend Josh[Uronacid] is in a long distance relationship. I really don't know how he does it because I am like you. My feelings for the person tend to fade after awhile. But he goes through it. I have no doubt that he loves her.
