they HAVE to make their kids learn an instrument .. it'll be most likely a guitar or the piano. they'll have you playing golf as a sport rather than football/basketball. they're too strict about your school performances.

Well my parents never MADE me learn anything. I chose to learn the guitar and violin on my own free will.
