they HAVE to make their kids learn an instrument .. it'll be most likely a guitar or the piano. they'll have you playing golf as a sport rather than football/basketball. they're too strict about your school performances.

Not really, although if I get a B my dad always looks at me and says You know you can do better than this.
 Then in middle school I had to play the clarinet, and my grandpa taught me how to play golf when I was around 7. So thats not exactly my parents. I had to play soccer when I was little as well, it was a choice at first though. I don't really think anyones parents forcefully make you do those types of things, although they'll encourage it and maybe put a guilt trip on you until you do so.
