OMG HELP I NEED IDEAS, iroquois and what materials i can use Options

Hi I think i finally have the right forum. ^^ Anyways I have a project It;s about the first nations ppl called the iroquois. I'm doing a model of the house. It's a longhouse but i have no idea which version of the long house is the traditional kind. Is it the one with the whoel thing round or the one with it straight n teh sides. I need the one that the europeans have not influenced the Iroquois yet and i'm not sure if there were 2 versions of the model of the europeans influenced them on.

Also.. does anyone know what materials i could use to make the wood effect on the outside of the house?(perferably not expensive things to use)

also this is kinda due tuesday- friday till the 20th i think.

from what i've learned before, the second picture does look more like it, if i recall.
for the materials, popsicle sticks and toothpicks, like Jane said, or you could also try bamboo skewers (?) which you might have to cut in half. they might be too thick though, so i'm not sure.
