I've heard several people say "Have no regrets.", and I've always been struck by it. Do you believe that it's good advice? Do you or have you followed that rule?
I myself prefer to keep regrets; keeping regrets keeps me in check by preventing future mistakes, but I understand where the phrase comes from, since why live life if you're just going to regret everything? My friends have explained to me that they follow the phrase because they believe that everything happens for a reason. I find it difficult to learn from my mistakes if I say that they were just meant to be, however, I understand that many people (including some of my best friends) don't feel that way. |

I turn what most people would consider "regrets" into "events that taught me lessons."
I used to regret a lot of things. They would haunt me constantly. But then I looked at them differently. I asked myself, "What did I learn from this experience?" Every single time, I could come up with something. It made me more mature and stronger. No regrets. Just lessons. |
