I've heard several people say "Have no regrets.", and I've always been struck by it. Do you believe that it's good advice? Do you or have you followed that rule?

I myself prefer to keep regrets; keeping regrets keeps me in check by preventing future mistakes, but I understand where the phrase comes from, since why live life if you're just going to regret everything? My friends have explained to me that they follow the phrase because they believe that everything happens for a reason. I find it difficult to learn from my mistakes if I say that they were just meant to be, however, I understand that many people (including some of my best friends) don't feel that way.

Just because you have no regrets doesn't necessary mean you are not aware of your mistakes. Not having a regret is when you are aware of your mistakes and yet, at the same time, know enough to learn from it, but not be saddened by it.

Sorry, if it didn't make much sense.

Oh no, that made perfect sense. I know several people who can do that, and I'm fairly jealous. I've tried, but sadness seems to help me some, 'cause I can't help regret some things. However, I do commend anyone who can do that.

I think everyone has regrets but I think that having regrets has been a link to weakness in a lot of people but I don't think that's true.
Thank you! I don't see regrets as a bad thing, they help me make me.
