I've heard several people say "Have no regrets.", and I've always been struck by it. Do you believe that it's good advice? Do you or have you followed that rule?

I myself prefer to keep regrets; keeping regrets keeps me in check by preventing future mistakes, but I understand where the phrase comes from, since why live life if you're just going to regret everything? My friends have explained to me that they follow the phrase because they believe that everything happens for a reason. I find it difficult to learn from my mistakes if I say that they were just meant to be, however, I understand that many people (including some of my best friends) don't feel that way.

Just because you have no regrets doesn't necessary mean you are not aware of your mistakes. Not having a regret is when you are aware of your mistakes and yet, at the same time, know enough to learn from it, but not be saddened by it.

Sorry, if it didn't make much sense.

I completely agree with you Seon Ho. Thats what I believe and I think I can honestly say I have no regrets. I know of my past mistakes and I know they weren't smart and whatnot, but I wouldn't change what I've done in the past because I learned from them and things wouldn't be the same now if I had done differently. *shrug* Thats what I think anyways.
