I've heard several people say "Have no regrets.", and I've always been struck by it. Do you believe that it's good advice? Do you or have you followed that rule?
I myself prefer to keep regrets; keeping regrets keeps me in check by preventing future mistakes, but I understand where the phrase comes from, since why live life if you're just going to regret everything? My friends have explained to me that they follow the phrase because they believe that everything happens for a reason. I find it difficult to learn from my mistakes if I say that they were just meant to be, however, I understand that many people (including some of my best friends) don't feel that way. |

It's better to have no regets because having regret wastes time wondering what could have happened or what could have been. You just have to move on and live. Lessons are learned from every mistake, so that you can prevent them in the future. Mistakes make you who you are today, having no regret allows you to move on in a positive way.
