I never bought clothes from either stores except one time .. I think 4 years ago. I have to be honest, I don't really think it's pure "prep" fashion. It's trash to be honest. American Eagle is nice and it's not as bad and those two stores i've mentioned .. plus their clothes are too expensive .. I can go to Marshall's and buy 4 tees and the final cost would turn out to be the price of 1 pair of jeans at a& f .. I respect A/X, Lacoste, and J.crew even though they're pretty even more expensive because they have a real, authentic "preppy" original look .. but I cannot stand Hollister and A&F ..

I'm now considering making my own logo. Just go on and grab one of those Target polos and tape the logo on... yeah.
Little kids shopping at AE/Hollister/A&F = IRRITATION. |

Haha, that reminds of someone I know who bought a plain white t-shirt for five dollars. He took a permanent black marker and wrote the words 'Abercrombie & Fitch on the front in his chicken scratch writing. People came up to him and complimented him. Maybe they thought his handwriting made it look like a cool design or something...I don't even know but it further proves the point that it's just about the name. |

Wow, you don't happen to live in the DFW area do you? There's a kid at the senior high around here that did the exact same thing. ![]() |

^ I know. Some things I see at Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister I have to buy because they really do have cute clothing. Target is great!
But then you see girls with "HOLLISTER SO CAL!" written on their shirt. Then "HOLLISTER SO CAL!" written on the back of their pants. Then "HOLLISTER SO CAL!" on their sweatshirt. & I always have to think, "Wtf. You live in New York. Stop wearing clothing with Southern California written all over it!" Wow, you don't happen to live in the DFW area do you? There's a kid at the senior high around here that did the exact same thing. ![]() Hahahaha, no I don't. It's the greatest idea though isn't it? |

It's the greatest idea though isn't it? Aha, I despise that too. I don't get the deal with shirts or sweaters or any other items of clothing that just have the brand name spat in giant letters somewhere. It just contributes to discrimination, in a totally twisted way. That would just be wicked if you did live in DFW. It'd add up to a total of two whole people on CB that were randomly in the same area ![]() |
