PARIS (Reuters) - A French court ruled Tuesday that an organization with far-right links can continue offering pork soup to the homeless, rejecting police complaints that the food distribution was racist.

Police banned the soup kitchen last month, arguing that the handouts discriminated against Jews and Muslims who do not eat pork on religious grounds.

Ok, so they want to make a political statement of some sort. Actually lets rephrase that. They want to get publicity prior the forthcoming french elections. That's fine, but at least they could have the guts to not pull the stunt on those that have no ability to defend themselves from the "joke".

Somedays, politics are just fantastic.

Admitedly, I'm not too well read in this subject, but what's wrong with them offering pork soup? Unless it's exclusively what they offer, I fail to see a major issue here. If they do not offer alternatives to those who do not each pork, due to religious or spiritual beliefs, then yes, they should expand their menu.

Having said that, so if they don't offer you what you want because of your own religious/preferences that should mean they shouldn't offer it to anyone?
