There is this girl that I like and we are really good friends, and I want to ask her out, hell I am even ready to do so, but there is one problem: she literally just broke up with her boyfriend of a little over a year.
I was actually prepared to tell her how I felt about her, even if she had a boyfriend, but with her breaking up with him might it might be coming at a bad time.. just yesterday she was calling me and asking for advice and such, and she even called me at 4 in the morning just after she broke up with him.. Not only do I think that it is too soon to tell her how I feel, but I also think that because she is coming to for advice about this stuff that she views me more as a really good friend, and not someone she will date.. How long do you think I should wait before I tell her? I am going to tell her I just dont want to seem like I am taking advantage of the fact she just broke up with him, and that she confides in me.. it feels like ive entered the infamous"friend zone" |

Well, I think your right, that she sees you as a good friend to her at this point.
I can't really give you an estimate, but a few months does sound like a decent amount of time. You don't want to start a relationship, when she's still emotionally stressed about her old relationship. Just be a good friend to her. Let her know your there for her. But make sure, if she asks you for advice, no matter what the subject, you give her an opinion as a friend, she is counting on you as a friend for your good judgement, not as someone who likes her. |
