okay well, im basically a 15 yrold japanese girl that always wears the same thing everyday. i wear a school club (fbla) sweatshirt, a t-shirt, not that flattering jeans, and tmmy hilfigure(sp?) shoes... and my hair is always a pony tail or its let down. i dont style it with anything like gel or spray or anything, but its nice and shiny anyways so that makes it a bit better ^ ^;; my friends tell me to wear skirts, but i cant find skirts that arent showing my underwear nor do i want those maxi super long skirts. i have some clothes, but some i definitely dont want to wear in school like those skirts... ^ ^;; i love clothes, i just dont have any that look flattering :/

Well would you rather wear the same thing every day or the same thing everyone else is wearing every day?

Because all the suggestions in this thread are like common, overrated trends.

EXACTALLY what I was thinking while reading these posts. Everyone wears the same things & it gets on my nerves. If you are daring & honestly willing to try new things try DIY clothes. I hate looking like everyone else. Pretty much, my style is emo/punk. I have short hair that sticks out in the back & on top it is blue. I have to style it in the morning, but it only takes around five minuites. I just dampen it, put a headband on, put the gel on the back, turn my head over & shake my hair to make it stick out. Then I straighten the front & around the headband. I always have to be fast in the morning, considering my mom is a bus driver.
I normally go to local thrift stores & pay around a dollar for two large t-shirts. I just take them home, cut them up, sew on some fabric[maybe some lace, chains, ect.]& tad-aa. You now have yourself an awesome shirt that is flattering that no one else has ever seen. Not to mention, it only cost you fifty cents, plus the time/effort & material, which equals around 2 dollars. Why better than going to Abercrombie & buying a sisty dollar polo shirt, only to find it go out of style a week later. One of a kind, much.
As for the jeans, you can also redo them. I had jeans with holes ALL in them[like everyone else has] & of course, me being me, had to make them different so I just sewed some checkered fabric around the holes. Everyone loves them but nobody has them.
