Yep, been a fan for well over a decade. I remember when some of these guys didn't even have a label.
![]() Massive Attack is amazing. I always have an MA cd on hand. Sneaker Pimps are cool, but I'd consider them more pop trip-hop at this point. Bjork is more than one genre really, but trip-hop I can see working as a catagory for her, especially after Homogenic. Portishead. I don't even know where to begin. Beth Gibbons is outstanding. This big voice coming out of little bitty body (I've seen them live). Only You is still such a trippy song to me and Glory Box, to this day is the best, most understated statement of a strong female stance ever. Morcheeba holds one of my favorite songs, ever: The Sea. I heard them live (didn't see them :( ) when they played on KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic a long time ago. Skye Edwards' voice just oozes sexuality. Too bad she left the group. |
