All of my games are running slowly on my Playstation one. It's not the controller, because I've tried several. Does anybody know what could be causing this and/or how to fix it?

That's odd... It's probably because it's old, but my NES still works. And my SNES... So does my N64. Odd... Oh, ha, that's right. Those are all made by Nintendo. That's why.
Sony probably sneaked into your house and bugged your PS to force you to buy the new PS3 because they need every sale they can get. It's true. Just look at my signature. Ha, I kid, but seriously, it's probably because it's old and warn out. You can buy a new one for real cheap these days.
