Uhh. I think I have it, but I'm scared to go to the doctor's.
 I was just.. wondering if anyone has this and if they could tell me what to expect by going to the doctor's.

One of the councilors at my school has Narcolepsy. She's on medication for it though, because it got to the point of where she couldn't drive because her muscles would freak out or she'd just fall asleep. I'm pretty sure it would be quite scary to just see someone fall over like that. I would suggest to just read through the effects of it and make sure it's really waht you think you have. I'm pretty sure it can be genetic, or at least may happen because you have a genetic predisposition to it, so a big indicator could be if other people in your family have it.
They will more than likey do a sleep study on you and take your blood to test for the gene of narcolepsy. There's lots of good information if you search for "diagnosing narcolepsy" |
