Actually, most girls get moody and emotional the week prior to their period; that's why it's called PMS (premenstrual syndrome).
Something about imbalance of hormones. http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/pms.htm#b QUOTE The causes of PMS are not clear. It is linked to the changing hormones during the menstrual cycle. Some women may be affected more than others by changing hormone levels during the menstrual cycle. Stress and emotional problems do not seem to cause PMS, but they may make it worse. Diagnosis of PMS is usually based on your symptoms, when they occur, and how much they affect your life. So you see, there's not really a solid reason why girls get mad, but as you know, menstrual cycles and anything associated with puberty has a lot to do with certain hormones that are released at the time. And these hormones could have effects on your mood and temper. On Wikipedia, it says that 75% of women of reproductive age will experience PMS during their lifetime, so yes, most females can get more moody and emotional. |
