FTP Help, What is FTP and what is it used for? |

I am THINKING of getting a domain and hosting so I was wondering how do I use FTP and what's it for? If anyone will reply, that'll be GREAT!

You use FTP by getting a program such as smartFTP (windows) or captainFTP (mac). You basically connect to your server , the information will be given to you, and you upload your site files . And yea.
You will need FTP. Sometimes you can upload online, but I find FTP to be the easier way to do it. Its not hard so don't even think you'll have trouble with it. (There are more programs than the ones I've listed) |
