I don't think we should go as far as letting school out, perhaps some one lost people on that day, its nice for them to have people there for them.
Although our school doesn't do anything, the principal gets on the intercom and talks about them for like a half a minute and then we say the pledge and thats it. |

But some people have to attend memorial services and then school schedules would get a little messed up because a lot of students (and teachers, too) lost loved ones during 9/11. They'd be absent for school and since there aren't enough students, teachers can't really continue with lessons. I think it'd be a lot better for everyone (in NY at least) to have the day off. (Did interpret it correctly? Because it's worded a little funny.  )
