is this the right forum but anyways i wanted to know if smoking is a sin in the christian religion im not talking about cigarates either.

I guess it isnt a Sin to smoke as Matthew 15:17-20 says
Anything you eat passes through the stomache and then goes out of the body. But evil words come from an evil heart and defile the person who says them. For from the heart comes evil thoughts, murger, adultery all other sexual immorality, theft, lying and slander. These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands could never defile you and make you unnacceptable to God. But you have to ask why are you smoking? To find peace, selfish reasons? because Mattew 16:24,25 says If any of you want ot be My follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder the cross and follow me. If you try to keep your life for yourswelf, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, You will find true life. So you must honor God with your body I didn't say ruining your body, which is the temple of God isn't in the bible..What I meant was I don't remember a verse saying, "Smoking is a sin." But putting the real verses down is a great help. Answers the topic's questions and erases some of the doubts...At least mine were |
