A question that I've seen brought up a couple of times: "Is pride a positive or a negative?"
What is your opinion on this? Is pride is harmful, or can it benefit you and/or others? Yes, I know it could benefit your sometimes and hurt you other times, but if you could only choose one or the other, what would your support be? My two cents: I personally think pride, overall, is a negative. You tend to be ignorant and refuse to learn a lesson even though it's good for you, just because it's embarrassing, or something along those lines. Sometimes if you're really up over your head *coughKanyeWestcough* you tend to think your are better than you really are, sometimes even flawless. Even though we all know you aren't. And sometimes there's a case of insecurity. You don't share your knowledge because you don't want to everyone know your "secrets to success" because you want to be on top, and everyone else below you. Yeah, that was a more like if you're "full of pride," but that's all I've got to say for now. |

Well if you really had self-respect, why would you need to have pride?
Wouldn't it make more sense to be humble rather? |
