Lord of the Flies Catcher in the Rye Grapes of Wrath Jane Eyre A Tale of Two Cities A Farewell to Arms Catch-22 The Sun Also Rises For Whom the Bell Tolls Atlas Shrugged And to my ultimate shame: Native Son Black Boy And I didn't read Great Expectations, Pride and Prejudice, and 1984 until I got to college. I don't believe I got through high school (and two AP courses) without having to read them. |

I know it's harder, BUT WHY CAN'T THEY JUST MAKE US READ THE ORIGINAL?  Oh, and I need to read more Tennessee Williams dramas. I've only read The Glass Menagerie. Plus, Catcher in the Rye. |
