I brought this up Backstage but want member input as well.
Would anyone oppose the idea of removing the Offical Designer status of Off. Des.'s if they are no longer active and/or contributing? There's no harm in leaving them as it is since there isn't already a rule stating one has to continue to contribute once they meet the minimum requirements but doing this "cleanup" would keep the Off. Des. group tidy. It was suggested that there be a requirement for Off. Des. to submit a certain number of submissions for a given amount of time. 3 per month? 3 per 3 months? The only issue with this idea is that it's a bit tedious to keep track of the number of submissions someone submits and keep an eye on any new submissions accepted. Agree/disagree? Comments/suggestions? |

I don't think their status should be removed if they don't submit stuff for any period of time.
It's not like official designers have anymore benefits than official members, so I don't think it's a problem. Besides, I notice that some designers tend to save up their work and submit it all at once. They aren't really active in the forums. Without their submissions, cB wouldn't be here (well not exactly but you get what I'm trying to say). So, I don't think it's necessary to remove official designer status when he/she does not submit stuff. |
