have any of you read it? i usually don't read out of my young-adult-sarah-dessen type stuff, but my friend recommended that i read it. i just finished the chapter about his brother, and to be honest, i am sort of scared to read the next chapter, titled "the joys of sex" because i glanced at it and oh well, it is sort of graphic. i don't have a problem with it but me mum is quite overprotective. lol
 but so far it is very interesting i really like it. |

Augusten Burroughs is an absolutely delightful writer. I personally don't think Running with Scissors is his best, and much preferred both Dry and Magical Thinking. I have yet to read his Possible Side Effects. In any case, I digress. The anecdotes presented in Running With Scissors were pretty bizzarre to fathom. It was his first collection of memoirs that I read, and in retrospect, it was a pretty good one to start off with (considering it was the first that he'd written).
