If I buy a T-Mobile Sidekick 3 off eBay or something, is there anyway to activate it by the means of prepaid with the whole text, aim, and internet browsing thing because I know on the website it says you can do it for like 20 bucks, but thats only if you are on a plan. I know with like Verizon or Sprint you need the ESN HEX and ESN DEC number just because I work at Best Buy with all the phones.

OR

If I could just get a Sidekick, and put a Cingular SIM card in it and then just use all the features that the Sidekick can do such as AIM and the internet browsing. I read in some places that you can't because T-Mobile has certain towers that are specifically designed for the internet, but other places said it should be fine because the phone would just use Cingular towers. Help?
Thanks.

What?
ok, no. I think Sidekick needs to be specially activated by means of Tmobile service. But, ify ou think about it. All the services they give you email and etc, are just using the Internet. And the prepaid sim cards do give WAP and internet access.

OH, i remember. You can't. The sidekick requires its own service plan for all those features to work. It simply doesn't work by putting in any random Tmobile simcard. You do need to activate it, and I heard its expensive to get this phone. Besides the phonebill itself, youneed to pay atleast 100 a month for the other charges.
